St. Charles Lwanga Parish buzzes with weekly activities that nurture faith, community, and spiritual growth for all ages, fostering a vibrant and engaged parish family.
- Catechism Classes: Every Saturday morning (9:00–11:00 AM), children and youth attend catechism for First Communion, Confirmation, and RCIA, led by catechists. Sunday School at 8:00 AM (before Youth Mass) teaches younger kids Bible stories and prayers in a fun way. Parents are urged to ensure regular attendance.
- Choir Practices: The main choir rehearses Wednesday and Saturday at 4:00 PM in the church; the youth choir practices Saturday at 3:00 PM. Singers and musicians are welcome to join.
- Jumuiya Meetings: Small Christian Communities (Jumuiya) meet nearly every evening, often Wednesdays, for prayer and fellowship. Contact your SCC leader for details.
- Youth Sports and Fellowship: Saturday afternoons, youth play football or volleyball on the parish or nearby school field, building friendships with occasional inter-SCC matches.
- Devotional Groups Prayers: Legion of Mary meets Tuesdays at 5:00 PM for Rosary and apostolic work. A Divine Mercy group, if active, meets Fridays at 3:00 PM for the chaplet, announced as needed.
- Bible Study/Prayer Group: A charismatic prayer group gathers Fridays at 6:00 PM in the parish hall for praise, worship, and Bible study, open to all seeking spirited prayer.
These weekly gatherings strengthen our parish’s spiritual and social bonds. Check the bulletin or notice board for schedules, and join us to live out our faith together for God’s greater glory.
(For a detailed weekly schedule, see our bulletin or the notice board. We aim to accommodate as many spiritual needs as possible – so if you have ideas like a fathers’ prayer group or a business persons fellowship, talk to us!)
