Our Parish Pastoral Council (PPC) is a consultative leadership body that works hand-in-hand with the clergy to animate parish life. The PPC is composed of clergy, religious sisters, and elected lay representatives from various groups, outstations, and SCCs. They meet regularly to plan pastoral activities, evaluate progress, and ensure the parish’s mission is carried forward effectively.
Parish Executive Committee (PPC Officers):
– Mrs. Neneya Martha Amuma – Moderator (Chairperson): As PPC Moderator, Mrs. Amuma leads council meetings and coordinates the various committees. She ensures good communication between the council and parish groups. A devoted parishioner, she brings experience and motherly wisdom to her role, fostering unity in the council.
– Mr. Paul Suma – Deputy Moderator: Mr. Suma assists the Moderator and often focuses on logistical coordination. He brings organizational skills and a heart for social justice, often channeling the council’s attention to serving the needy.
– Ms. Delila Vunzu Ngala – Secretary: Ms. Delila records minutes, prepares reports, and handles official communications for the council. Her efficiency and attention to detail keep our plans on track. She is also a youth mentor in the parish.
– Mr. Michael Kimani – Deputy Secretary: Mr. Kimani supports the Secretary and manages documentation. He is tech-savvy and has helped the parish begin digital record-keeping for sacramental registers and census data.
– Mr. Isaac Angore – Treasurer: Mr. Angore oversees parish finances alongside the Finance Committee. He helps prepare budgets, ensures transparency in collections and expenditures, and educates the faithful on stewardship. Under his watch, the parish has initiated successful fundraising events and improved financial stability. The PPC also includes representatives of each Small Christian Community (Jumuiya), leaders of sodalities (CWA, CMA, Youth, etc.), and heads of key committees. This inclusive representation guarantees that diverse voices – women, men, youth, elders, outstation members – all have input in parish decisions. Together with our priests, the Pastoral Council prayerfully discerns the pastoral priorities and evaluates our progress toward the parish’s strategic goals.
